
Apple Rings

Ingredients:
- 3 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into rings
- ¾ cup Cass-Clay® Whole Milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup + 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (divided use)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- vegetable oil for frying
- 1 cup of Cass-Clay Heavy Whipping Cream
- 4 tablespoons of caramel sauce/drizzle
How To:
- In a medium bowl, mix together the milk, flour, egg, baking powder, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir until smooth.
- Place the remaining sugar and cinnamon on a plate; stir to combine.
- Heat 1 inch of oil in a pot to 350°F.
- Dip each apple ring into the batter, then add to the pot of oil. Cook 3-4 apple slices at a time for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.
- Remove the apples from the oil and immediately roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Repeat the process with the remaining apples.
- With a hand mixer, whip the heavy whipping cream until soft peak form. Add in the caramel sauce and whip at medium speed until you reach stiff peaks.
- Serve your apple rings immediately with the caramel whipped cream and enjoy!
